In continuation of our Employee Highlight Series, today I'm featuring Kirk Erickson, Sales Consultant. Learn about Kirk's career and his experiences working with Miller Marine.

Meet Kirk Erickson, Miller Marine Sales Consultant

Employee Highlight Series Kirk Erickson, Sales ConsultantKirk began his career with Miller Marine in 1998, not long after we opened our current location. Prior to joining Marine, he worked for his family's business, tried his hand at auto body, and worked for a wholesale company. While all of his prior experiences were positive, they weren't quite right for him. Until that is, he became a member of the Miller Marine sales team.

During working hours, you can find Kirk out on the sales floor, working with customers, answering questions, and really, just doing whatever it is that needs to be done.

Working for Miller Marine

As a member of Miller Marine's eight-person sales team, he considers himself fortunate to work with such an experienced group.

"Because of the store hours Miller Marine keeps, it's pretty often that we're helping our team member's customers in addition to our own. We all have a work-life and a home-life to juggle, so we work together. Everybody is self-motivated, everyone knows what's going on, and everyone pitches in whenever it's needed."

In addition to his team, Kirk is thankful to have built his career within such a great work environment. Having started out working in his family's business, Kirk was accustomed to an environment where he could make his own decisions and be recognized for his merit - a place where he was trusted. And if you ask Kirk, he'll tell you he's found that family-feel working with Miller Marine.

Outside Working Hours

When he's not working, Kirk spends his time with his wife, Jean, at their home near Mora, MN. They have two grown children: Nicole and Anthony. Kirk also enjoys getting out on the water on his boat, and next spring, he'll hit the water in his new Bennington pontoon that he's expecting any day now.

Thank you, Kirk, for all you do!
