Beyond sharing what we do here at Miller Marine and why we do it, it's equally important to talk about how. And it's our fantastic staff members who contribute each and every day to making Miller Marine the business it is today. Today, I'm featuring Eric Graham, Sales Consultant. 

Meet Eric Graham, Miller Marine Sales Consultant

Employee Highlight Series: Eric Graham, Miller Marine Sales ConsultantEric joined the Miller Marine sales team back in 1997 (that's 20 years, happy work anniversary, Eric!). He arrived fresh out of college, having graduated from the Sales and Marketing Program and St. Cloud Technical College

Working for Miller Marine

Instead of having a typical day at work, Eric has typical seasons. Working in marine sales in Minnesota means changing your day-to-day with the seasons. Spring and summer months are the busiest in terms of customers coming in, shopping for this year's watercrafts, and when the weather changes to fall, it's more about taking orders for next year's new boats and pontoons.

The beauty of pre-ordering in the fall is that customers have the choice to customize their order for the exact options they want. Many customers have a preference for the type (and color) of upholstery their new boat or pontoon will have, along with the colors of the watercraft itself. During the winter months, efforts turn to boat show season. Typically, these shows take place in the first few months of the new year. 

A Dedicated Team Member

As a member of Miller Marine's eight-person sales team, Eric is thankful for the experience and knowledge of his team members.

While the sales team relies on each other, Eric also described freedom and independence as reasons for why he's been with Miller Marine for two full decades. He enjoys being able to work with customers on sales from start to finish. Instead of being micromanaged, he enjoys working for a company who trusts his sales and decision-making process.

Outside Working Hours

When he's not at work, Eric spends time with his wife of 16 years, Stacy, their three children, and their Springer Spaniel. They enjoy time away at their lake home in Northern Minnesota, where there's plenty of time for family time and fishing. Eric also enjoys hunting for deer and pheasant and watching his daughters play volleyball.
